Purpose

This Advisory Circular (AC) describes an acceptable means of compliance with the syllabus content in respect of oral examinations for Subject 21 (Air Law).

Related rules

This AC relates specifically to Civil Aviation Rule Part 66 Subpart B — Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.

Change notice

Revision 4 updates the syllabus by making knowledge level adjustments to sections 2.1.1, 3.1.1, 3.4.1 and 6.5.1. This revision also adds section 6.1, Type Certificates and Type Acceptance Certificates, and adjusts the knowledge levels in the subsequent section 6.2.

We have also fixed a typo in section 5.1.6 and made minor formatting changes.
