Guidance for foreign air transport operators for operating in New Zealand.

  • Foreign air transport operations are an air transport operation conducted by somebody not domiciled in New Zealand.
  • They are to or from New Zealand; or within New Zealand as part of an air operation to or from New Zealand.

Part 129 Foreign Air Operator Certification includes the requirements for people conducting foreign air transport operations involving more two take-offs or landings within New Zealand in a consecutive 28 day period, or more than eight take-offs or landings in any consecutive 365 day period.

A foreign air transport operator cannot move passengers and/or freight only within New Zealand, it must be part of a flight to or from this country.
