1. Prerequisites

In order to apply for ANZA privileges, you must first obtain a letter from the Ministry of Transport stating that they qualify as a single aviation market (SAM) airline. This letter can be requested by emailing airservices@transport.govt.nz.

To qualify as a SAM airline you must meet the criteria outlined in the:

Australia-New Zealand single aviation market arrangements(external link)

Your application must also include a Transport Security Programme (TSP) that has been approved by the Australian government:

2. Application

The MOT letter and approved TSP must be submitted to CAA with one of the forms at this link:

Part 119 application for an amendment to an air operator certificate (24119-01) [DOCX 5.4 MB]

The application should be sent to Certification@caa.govt.nz.

3. Assessing your application

Once your application has been received, we will notify the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) and seek their confirmation that they have no objection to the application proceeding.

We will then assess your application in accordance with sections 90 and 91 of the Civil Aviation Act 2023(external link). This activity will be charged at CAA’s normal hourly rate as set out in the amendment application form (24119-01).
